Sapphire bearings and precision molded rotor contribute to the exceptional low-flow performance and linearity of the FP6500 insertion meter. Threaded bearing housings also allow easy field repair if the rotor or bearings become damaged. A solid-state Hall-effect sensor is used to detect the passage of the six rotor blades. This eliminates magnetic drag, and produces a square wave signal which can be sent for hundreds of feet without a transmitter, over unshielded cable. This signal interfaces with many programmable controllers and computer cards without signal conditioning. Installation fittings are standard 1-122" male NPT. A depth adjustment system allows the probe to be set for installation in a wide range of piping. The FP6500 series can be purchased with an optional display mounted on the sensor. Display will show rate and total. Totalizer will be 8-digit non-resettable with a pulse output. 4-20 mA output is also available.
The FP6500 series insertion paddlewheel flow sensors are priced from $414.
